Profile: Lily Tse

Tell us about yourself.

I am the Founder and CEO of Think Dirty. That’s currently where I focus most of my time. If I have any downtime I spend it with my family and my 2 dog-sons. Pre-COVID I also spent time as a mentor to women and tech workshops/hackathons that promote entrepreneurship for young women.

What do you consider as your biggest achievement?

My business that I started 8 years ago.

What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?

Don’t believe all the unsolicited advice you receive, not all of them are valid. Take only advice from advisors who have actually done it, and trust your intuition more.

How do you stay productive and be your best self at work?

I like to change the scenery. I take short walks now given we can’t change our environment much. Sometimes watching something completely non-work related movies/shows will help relax the mind for creative work.

What’s your top mental health tip for when the going gets tough?

I like to go near the water or mountains, these have a calming effects. So taking long walks with my dogs by water or to mountains helps.

What are your top health hacks?

I used to work out 2 times a week in a gym. During pandemic I find it harder at home with a small space and a young pup. So again back to just walking. Food wise, I like using my Instant Pot for vegetable soup and stick with healthy snack like nuts and bananas.

What’s your favorite fun activity?

Doing nothing! If weather permits it’s car rides with my dogs with the top down to get some fresh air, venturing to new places.

Who are your female role models and why?

Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Sara Blakely, Maya Angelou.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg is for the fearless fights for women’s rights.

Sara Blakey for being self made and still fully present and inspiring even already successful.

Maya Angelou, lived a rich and fulfilled live. Her poetries give hope to many underprivileged groups hopes.

I want to add the latest Meghan Markle since last night for speaking up and standing up to authority.
